Dion & Erika

Hello, My name is Wallace. On March 17, 2023 my daughter Erika told me that she and her husband Dion were in the Bisbee Arizona emergency room. Dion was having intense abdominal pain and had just been diagnosed with colon cancer. They were waiting for transportation to Tucson Medical Center (almost two hours away and 100 miles) where he would undergo emergency surgery. The surgery lasted four hours during which his diaphragm was perforated and a solid mass the size of one and a half softballs was removed. His insides were rearranged forever changing both of their lives. Approximately two weeks after surgery he was discharged. However, there is additional cancer and follow-up chemotherapy for many months to come. He is unable to work his job due to this life-threatening diagnosis and frequent round trips for medical follow-up treatments. The family is asking for help financially to pay for housing, utilities, hygiene supplies, food, as there are new dietary restrictions and instructions, and gas for the frequent trips to Tucson for chemotherapy (two hundred miles round trip). The good news is the doctors have said this is a slow-growing cancer, rare and one that responds well to chemotherapy treatments. So we are hopeful! We humbly welcome any amounts of money you can donate to save my son-in-law. Thank you in advance.
