On July 4th a tragic and unexpected accident occurred. My son-in-law, Diquon, had a firework go off and hit him directly in the eye. He was rushed to the emergency room and they had to do emergency surgery to completely remove his eye to prevent any further damage to his other eye. My daughter Brenda has had to take off of work to care for him and Diquon will not be able to work for quite some time. In addition to that they have to pay for his prosthetic eye out of pocket, which costs $4500.
