Direct Provision Donations
Donation protected
Direct Provision Donations was set up to provide ongoing donations to asylum seekers living under the direct provision system in Ireland. These asylum seekers are only on €38 a week, so we want to be able to provide them with essential items, so that they do not have to spend on them. We want to be able to provide for specific requests too such as laptops, cultural food needs and baby items such as baby formula and nappies.
We also want to help charities out that work directly with asylum seekers.
So far we have donated a large sum of money from this gofundme to The Irish Refugee Council, Our Table, the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre and MASI.
We have spent thousands from the gofundme on our Back2School campaign, where we provided asylum seeking children with the relevant school books, equipment and uniforms in September.
Currently we are appealing for donations for our Christmas Campaign, as we believe everyone deserves to celebrate Christmas. We are using these donations to buy toys, gifts, food and hundreds of supermarket vouchers to gift to asylum seekers this Christmas.
Thank you for your support,
