Support for Scherban and Kotenko Families
Donation protected
Like most of you, I was completely shocked when Ukraine was invaded and plunged into war. I grew up in Kharkiv, and imagining my friends and family back home sheltering in cellars to avoid missile strikes or facing the danger of direct attack as they make their way across the country to a safe border has been overwhelming.
I have two goals for this fundraiser:
1) Many of my loved ones and close friends are unable to leave their cities; I hope to raise support for them to continue to purchase essential supplies for themselves and their neighbors.
These funds will go to Daryna Scherban and the Scherban family, Vasili Vyachislovovich, and Tatiana Kononenko in the cities of Kharkiv and Dnipro.
2) Some have been able to flee, but they leave behind their homes and livelihoods; my goal is to help provide enough funds that they can care for themselves and their families over the next several months as they seek refuge.
These funds will go to Denys Kotenko, Valera and Lena Frolov, and John and Tanya Lynch heading to the borders of Romania and Poland.
I'm asking you to help these close friends and families in this desperate time. Your help goes directly to people who must face the daily danger of living in a war zone or make the unimaginable choice of leaving everything behind and seeking refuge. It allows them to purchase food, medical and emergency supplies, reload mobile phone cards, address their family needs, and cover costs as they seek shelter and find safety.
All funds raised will be transferred to these individuals via Wise.com as direct wire transfers.
Grace and peace to all, and thank you for your generosity and care for the people of Ukraine.
