Disabled And Trying To Provide For My Daughter

Hello, my name is Chris, I am 42 years old and I have a beautiful 17 year old daughter. I am trying to raise money to help pay our monthly bills while I'm waiting to get approved for Social Security Disability.

I became disabled in 5/2022 due to severe psoriatic arthritis, chronic gout and nerve damage in my leg. I am in constant agonizing pain and spend most of my time unable to get out of bed. I am no longer able to do the things I once loved to do. I can’t help with the household chores. My daughter has to do it all and it breaks my heart not being able to help her. I am also unable to work due to my medical issues.

I was diagnosed with these medical conditions back in 2016. I have tried every single treatment option available with multiple specialists with very little to no improvement. My conditions have only been getting worse and worse as time goes by. I am physically, mentally and emotionally depleted. My doctor said there are no other medications to try, but possibly a clinical trial if one becomes available and that all expenses will likely be out of my pocket. Since becoming disabled and not being able to work I have used all of my savings trying to stay current with our monthly bills. I was hoping to be approved for Social Security Disability before completely running out of funds, but that was not the case. Unfortunately due to the long process, I am still waiting for a hearing date to try and get approved. From what Social Security has told me I can expect to have to wait another 6-7 months to receive a court date and find out if I will be approved.

At this point I don’t know what to do. I am watching everything I’ve worked so hard to build about to fall apart. Being unable to do anything about this is one of the most horrible feelings in the world. I don’t want us to lose our home and fall deep into debt. I don’t come from a large family or have many friends I can turn to for help. I have asked them for help but what they were able to provide isn’t enough to get us through this long waiting period.

I am desperate and feel completely hopeless. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. I understand everyone has their own struggles and problems and it’s hard to find money to help someone you don’t know. Anything you are able to give will be greatly appreciated more than I could ever put into words.
