Disabled cats vet bill

Hi, I’m Helen and I am a massive animal advocate. Against cruelty and abuse to animals and a supporter of making animals lives better. A person I didn’t know well had started a cat rescue and I decided to help her. After a year she had to stop so I took over the rescue. It is heartbreaking, hard but amazing work. I have a small flat and sometimes had birthing mum cats and up to 20 kittens here. We had kittens coming covered in fleas that had been left in cardboard boxes in the middle of fields. It was devastating at times. The rescue had about 5 volunteers, we did home checks like the RSPCA , contracts to sign. We had an RSPCA visit that got a thumbs up, the cats were taken to the vets, they were spayed/neutered and chipped etc. After 3 years the rescue had to stop as getting volunteers was difficult, our fundraisers had less support due to the cost of living crisis and I was paying out of my own money , which if I had lots of would of not bothered me one bit , but I really don’t. Some weeks as a single mum I don’t have enough to feed the family and have not had the central heating on for over two years. The cats that were left excluding my own 3 all had problems and unfortunately no one wanted to take on cats that they knew would need vet visits. 2 brothers have no tail which is not from the Manx cat it’s a disability. One has tummy issues and needs expensive food and his brother has allergies. One was born with a deformed leg and one who has just a week ago had to be put to sleep (which has broken my heart) had spleen and liver problems. Thank goodness my vet is understanding as I now owe money to them for the euthanasia and cremation etc. Not to mention that when we closed the rescue having 6 extra cats it is very expensive for food and litter etc. I guess long story short I need help, all 6 cats need vet appointments, my credit card is maxed out on vet bills and now I owe £200 for lucky (rest in peace) for her cremation etc. If anyone can just help in what ever small way , I would be very , very grateful. Thank you. If you would like to see proof of the cats you are helping or the rescue it is on Facebook but is now an archived group called Kitty Kats Rescue Southport .
