Hello, my name is Anita, aka Mom. I am setting up this account on behalf of Danielle. Sadly, she wrecked her car and so much more just a few weeks ago. Coming home very late one night, tackling black-ice and fog, her car left the road. It rolled a few times before land upright and slamming the rear-end into the mountain. Emergency rescuers declared if her car had spun just half a turn more….we wouldn’t be fortunate enough to be able to give today. I would be making funeral arrangements. It scares me to think of what might have happened and I am so grateful she is alive to fight a different battle.
Danielle is debilitated in almost all areas of everyday life. The wreck resulted in her back being broken in three places. Her neck required surgery immediately and the doctors were able to keep her fingers and toes wiggling. We are truly blessed. However, now begins the long struggle of learning to hold herself still in all tasks. Since this is almost impossible, she is bedridden and cannot work. Granted, she will be able to finish all those Netflix programs she started a year ago, so at least there is that. She also has some much needed time to rest and reflect on life. While her mind calms, it is constantly interrupted with thoughts of unpaid bills, a place to live, lack of transportation, looming medical bills, and the costs of daily living such as food and sundries. She begins to get anxious and must be up doing something to combat impending doom. After much coaxing, she has agreed to stay in bed for the next three months and ask others when she needs assistance. This includes a plea for financial aid to address the concerns listed previously. We humbly request that any and all reach into their hearts and pockets to assist in anyway to support her during this difficult time. The fundraiser limit I chose is based on a few month of support for Danielle as well as funds to sustain her while she learns a new skill set. She will never be able to go back to her previous job with her injuries and subsequent surgery. She will have another review in a few months to assess her new lifestyle and her being handi-capable as she likes to call it. Anyone who knows her can attest to her spirit and drive to succeed at being useful and able to help others, and be a constant positive support to anyone who needs it. I ask now that we can all return the favor for the next few months and donate to her recovery. I appreciate any assistance that can be given. I love her To the Moon and Back….
Thank you from the deepest part of my soul…
