Disabled person being forced to move.

Hi my name is Larry Swartz and I am disabled and must move from the motel I am now living in because the new owners won't allow anyone to live here for a long period of time (have been living here for five years) - they claim it is because of insurance reasons. I am 77 and have no assets, which I lost because of a flood which happened in 2020. Also, I do not know anyone here in Didsbury, because I have been living in isolation for the last five years and need some contact with people. I would like to move somewhere that affords me opportunities to be involved in community activites. I want to live independently and be of some use to society and I can't do that if I am in a nursing or "old folks" home.

My retirement income is very low - $23,000.00 a year - almost $6,000.00 a year under the poverty line. Moving costs will be $1500 to $2000. Because of my disability I will need extra help in order to move. I do not smoke, drink, do drugs, go to concerts, go to sports activities, or go to restaurants. I may need to get a refrigerator, bed, dresser, chair, floor cleaning stuff, night stand, sheets, pillows, blankets, table, something for my computer and printer (my only assets), and a few other household items. I am looking for a studio (one room) apartment, and looking to buy second-hand fruniture and appliances. Only a small number of the cheaper rentals are frunished. I will donate any of the money not used for the above - back to GoFund Me.
