⚠️ Trigger Warning – Suicide, Workplace Trauma, Discrimination ⚠️
Help Me Survive After Workplace Retaliation by Visa & Featurespace
Hi, I’m Yasmin - and that’s my 15-year-old cat, Lola, in the photo with me. I’ve had her since I was a teenager. She’s basically my sister.
I’m a 29-year-old autistic woman who’s spent my whole life fighting to survive - living with depression, anxiety, and a history of suicide attempts. Despite it all, I built a career in cybersecurity, overcoming poverty, racism, and relentless personal trauma.
But after joining Featurespace (a Visa company), I endured six months of escalating disability discrimination, gaslighting, and bullying - simply for disclosing my autism and asking for reasonable adjustments.
Here’s the part that makes this even harder to accept:
✅ I received excellent, documented performance reviews.
✅ My manager praised my work repeatedly in writing.
❌ Yet weeks later, after raising concerns about discrimination, I was told I was "failing" - and my probation was extended while I was off sick with work-related trauma.
Now I’ve been left:
❌ Medically signed off sick with stress and suicidal thoughts
❌ Facing homelessness and eviction with no income
❌ Ignored and harassed by the same employer I trusted
❌ Completely alone - no support, no savings, no stability
I’ve initiated legal action against Visa and Featurespace (a subsidiary of Visa) via the Employment Tribunal, and I have overwhelming evidence: audio recordings, internal emails, medical records, and meeting transcripts. But legal battles take time - and right now, I just need help surviving.
I'm speaking out because what happened to me is wrong - and because others in my position often don’t survive.
Anything you can give will help me pay for food, rent, legal fees, and keeping a roof over Lola’s and my head.
From the bottom of my heart - thank you for reading and sharing.

Why I’m Fundraising
I urgently need help to survive the next few months.
I’ve lost my income. I’ve lost my health. But I haven’t lost my fight for justice.
Your donation will help me:
- Pay rent and basic bills to avoid eviction.
- ️Buy food and essentials for myself and Lola
- Access therapy to recover from trauma
- ⚖️ Fund legal costs as I take Featurespace and Visa to tribunal
- Rebuild my life from scratch, after everything was taken from me

The Reality I’m Facing
I paid my rent for April on the 1st April. But May’s rent is due on the 1st May - and I have nothing left. If I can’t raise funds, I’ll be evicted and have nowhere to go.
My essential monthly bills total nearly £2,000 (excluding food):
- Rent: £1,300 (1 bedroom flat)
- Council Tax: £132
- Gas & Electric: £98
- Phone: £41
- Internet: £33
- Loan Repayment: £349 (a personal loan I took to help a family member)
I’ve never missed a rent payment before. But now I’m mentally and physically sick, out of work, and running on fumes.

⚠️ The Human Cost of Discrimination
In October 2024, I joined Featurespace, excited to make a difference. Instead, I was subjected to:
- Constant bullying and gaslighting by my manager
- Retaliation after disclosing my autism and raising concerns
- ⏳ Probation extended while I was off sick
- Access cut off when I asked for support
- HR telling me to "refrain" from contacting anyone — even while in crisis
- Staff told not to engage with me — I was isolated and alone
I disclosed I was suicidal. I sent medical letters. I begged for help.
They ignored me.
The Impact on My Health
- ⚖️ Lost almost 6kg
- Insomnia, chest pain, breathing issues
- Suicidal thoughts and panic attacks
- Memory loss and cognitive decline due to trauma
- Signed off sick by GP + NHS 999 callout due to suicide risk
- Multiple referrals to Social Services and Community Mental Health Team
My **85-year-old grandma** is also deeply worried. The stress is affecting her health too.
This isn’t just a career crisis. It’s a **life crisis**.

⚖️ **Legal Action in Progress**
I’ve started a legal claim via ACAS and will be taking **Featurespace and Visa** to Employment Tribunal for:
- Disability and race discrimination
- Failure to make reasonable adjustments
- Victimisation and retaliation
- Constructive dismissal
I have **extensive, documented evidence**:
- Emails and HR responses
- Audio of gaslighting and bullying
- Medical records showing suicide risk
- Recordings of me crying in meetings
- ✅ Probation reviews confirming I met expectations
This is a **whistleblower case** - and I won’t be silenced.

❤️ **How You Can Help**
Even a **£5 donation** - the price of a coffee - makes a real difference.
If you can’t donate, please **share this link**. Every view helps.
Your support will help me survive this crisis, access care, and fight for justice.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
