Help Disabled Uber Driver With Car Repairs, Etc.

Hi, my name is Gwen and I'm raising funds to repair the car that my disabled partner, Thaddeus, uses to drive for Uber. We are also attempting to raise funds to cover bills from the past month.

Thaddeus and I have had a rough year. He was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer late 2022 and had Urostomy surgery in early 2023. He has since been diagnosed with severe arthritis in his hip and will hopefully be undergoing another surgery early April of this year to alleviate his chronic and severe hip pain.

I am a cancer survivor and spent most of 2023 unable to do any kind of work due to severe pain from my bone prosthesis failing and damaging my femur. In late 2023, I had surgery to replace the prosthesis and repair my femur, and I am still in recovery. I am non-weight bearing for another few weeks, and will be going through a few months of physical therapy to be able to walk again unaided.

Even though Thaddeus is unable to perform physical labor, he has been able to work driving for Uber, and over the past eight months has become one of the most trusted drivers in the Lansing area.

Unfortunately, he has not been able to work recently due to an issue with the heater in the car.

We are asking for help so that we can get the car repaired, and to help pay some bills.
