Disaster Relief for Halimah

On Tuesday, August 4th heavy rains from Hurricane Isais - a costly Category 1 caused extensive damage and severe flooding in the Philadelphia, PA area. Halimah and her two sons Najee (6) and Nuri (4) lost their home as it was deemed structually unsalvageble. Her main source of transportation was submered under water and also statused as totaled by the insurance company. To compound their suffering, the loss of their home is not covered under insurance. Halimah is one of my closest friends and one of the most selfless people I've ever met. She has always been that friend who is ready to lend a helping hand or offer to help someone in need. Well this time around Halimah and her boys need our help. Now, if you know Halimah like I do then you will surely know that she is terrible at asking people for help- she doesn't want to be a bother. Even in the midst of having to start over from nothing she continues to be positive and hopeful for the future. This family will need funds to move into a new home and funds for a modest and reliable form of transportation. I am asking everyone to please donate what you can - no amount is too small. ALL MONEY RAISED WILL BE DONATED TO HALIMAH.Let's surround Halimah, Najee and Nuri with as much love and support we can give!
