Disaster Relief for the Pileggi Family

Hi, my name is Mike. 2023 has been a wild year, it’s been a series of unfortunate events to say the least.

On the night of April 12, 2023 an unforeseen rain flooded our entire home. We lost everything. We have no home for the foreseeable future, and no cars.

We have insurance, and flood insurance too. However, these insurances do not factor in all these extra out of pocket expenses, and ridiculously high deductibles and the adjuster commissions.

Many people have asked how they can help, I’ve been reluctant to use a GoFund Me, but my wife helped me understand that we are looking at $30-40k in out of pocket expresses.

Honestly, it’s a lot more than we can do. That’s why we set up this fund. This goal won’t cover everything, but it will be a huge help.

In March my wife and daughter were involved in a rollover car accident because an under insured reckless driver hit my wife. We lost the car, but we managed and got another car, this was a week after my 4 year old daughter had a surgery to correct a breathing issue. They both walked. But the person at fault hit another car, and had the smallest coverage. Our 2006 SUV was totaled, and we bought another car cash, so as to not incur debt. The insurance will not cover half the cost of our car…this new car was also totaled in the storm.

It’s going to be a while before we get back up on our feet, any little help counts.
