Discover Your Path Mission Statement:

Bike ride to take place 2/1/20-4/1/20

Go Fund Me Extended until March 25th 2020.

The Discover Your Path Tour was created by Founder, Noah J. Ehlert as a way to inspire at risk youths to create and add a positive charge to their current path.

A bike ride across the USA has been a dream of Noah’s since he was a teen. As he got older and felt he was on solid ground enjoying the path he created for himself. He realized it was time he was capable of giving back. Noah wanted to give back to kids he could connect with. Kids he felt were going through a lot of the things he went through. Unstable and unsafe surroundings. Addictive parents or guardians. Kids who lacked confidence and feel stuck in their situation. See no way out and no control over the things going on around them.

At 11 years old, Noah himself was in a shelter for such kids. Now known as SafePlace2B A location of the family resources non profit center in central Florida. Home life had gotten to a volatile and unsafe space. He spent a lot of time in the streets. Bouncing from place to place not knowing where the next night might take him.

Noah’s recalls his time at the shelter an educational and valuable experience. It was lessons more about handling your emotions and the art of survival. Less about math and history. Albeit was not the end of the dark journey but a great new beginning to understanding the situation and finding new ways to deal with it better.

Shortly after a move from Florida to Wisconsin. Noah was gifted a bike from a friend. A 3 speed Schwinn. It turned into a positive way for him to escape and clear his mind. Less trips home in a police car and a better set of lungs. Every free moment was spent on the bike with friends. So much time in fact that when he was old enough to race for the first time he won. This was a great boost of confidence and added another layer of positivity to the path. The bike and racing gave a new way to handle the emotions and something else to focus on other than the negative surroundings.

More than 28 years have passed since Noah’s time at Harper’s Haven and Family Resources. The adventure Noah’s path has taken could be summed up as pretty remarkable on it’s own. Not to mention through such adversity. An award-winning cyclist would become an award winning writer and director in the film industry. Most recently Noah owns and operates an award winning and successful photography company with his wife at their Connecticut home.

Being a father of his three children excites Noah and makes him very emotional as he daydreams about the wonderful path, he can help them create.

Noah is incredibly passionate about this project and tour. Noah and a small group of people close to him will travel by Bicycle from California to the actual SafePlace2B where he stayed in central Florida. 3,000 miles along a southern route over the course of 60 days.
Along the way, Noah will visit as many shelters and kids as he can to spread a message of positivity and hope. With the help and guidance of the Family Resources Non-Profit program. He wants to show at risk youth that this is merely a short moment in a very long life. That they, themselves are in charge of the life they want to live and the adventurous paths they could take. They just need to find a positive outlet to help get them through.

In addition to the visits to shelters the group will do interviews with local and national news markets to spread awareness and collect donations for the Family Resources organization and their ventures. The tail end of the trip will also include the celebration of the family Resources organization/ SafePlace2B and their 50-year milestone. That is 50 years of creating a safe place for kids and helping families in crisis.
