Disney for Wes and Coco

After a courageous battle with brain cancer, my husband Marc passed away on Saturday March 7th from  brain cancer. Throughout our year-long fight our 7 year-old son Wesley and 5 yr-old daughter Nicolette (Coco) have shown incredible strength and resilience well beyond their years.  They bounced from friend's house to friend's house without complaint as Marc and I traveled down to MD Anderson in Houston every other week for treatment with frequent stays in between at UC Hospital.

We have always been an extremely close family. Despite their young age they showed no fear after Marc passed and went out of their way to make sure he knew they loved him and to properly say goodbye.  Coco helped me cover him with his favorite blanket and laid her stuffed lemur in his arms.  Wesley thanked him for being his dad and hugged him and insisted on walking with him to the door as the funeral home wheeled him away from hospital. It was the most pure testament of love I have ever seen.

In lieu of flowers for Marc’s funeral, please consider contributing for a trip to Disney for the kids. They have been infinitely patient and loving and I really want to honor them.  Marc would want this for them too.  He loved them more than anything.  They deserve something special.
