Displaced and lost belongings due to fire

Hi, my name is Tony Middlebrooks and on Jan. 17th at approximately 7:30 pm a fire started in one of the apartments in the building I live in. The fire rapidly spread to two other apartments. As the firefighters were working to put out the fires it caused extensive water and smoke damage to all the other apartments including mine. I live in the garden apartment and the water came down causing flooding and the ceiling collapsed. The village of Oak Park posted a sign on the entry doors of my building stating "NOT APPROVED FOR OCCUPANCY (Uninhabitable)". There are ten units in the building and all families have been displaced. I had to a hotel until I can find a new apartment. We don't know if we'll be able to salvage anything because of the water and smoke damage.
