Dissolve the Palm Drive Health Care District!

Donation protected
We are unpaid volunteers working to dissolve the Palm Drive Health Care District in Sonoma County, CA. To succeed, we need your support.

The District was created and funded 20 years ago solely to support a hospital with an emergency room in Sebastopol. However, the emergency room closed 18 months ago, and the District has since sold the hospital to a private, for-profit company. Even so, it wants to continue spending about $500,000 on things the voters never approved, instead of paying down its $20 million in debt.

To succeed, we need to collect the signatures of about 2,400 registered voters and submit them to a government board called LAFCO that oversees special public districts like Palm Drive. You can download a petition here and mail it back to us if you're a registered voter in the Palm Drive District and haven't already signed one of our petitions!

We expect the government fees to be over $8,000. We're also spending money on advertising, signs, supplies, etc. So we're hoping to raise $10,000 to cover our expenses. We will donate any money left over to the West County Health Centers, a non-profit group that provides health care services to Western Sonoma County residents.

Thank you very much for your support.
