Live Here, Learn Here: Community Night Out
Our community is home to some of Brooklyn's most amazing and talented students. We're home to vibrant, welcoming, loving schools. Our parents and teachers are also activists, entrepreneurs and inspirational leaders.
On June 5, we will celebrate our students, our schools and the adults that support them with our Second Annual Community Night Out at 5pm at P.S. 532, 1025 Eastern Parkway.
We're raising money to offset the costs of putting on a really fun event. Our $600 budget pays for a DJ & music ($200), food ($200), and materials, decorations, games and supplies ($200).
This event is sponsored by Live Here, Learn Here: Friends of District 17 , a diverse network of Central Brooklyn residents committed to the idea that strong schools are the heart of a strong community. When residents, community groups and businesses invest in local schools, the children and families in our community thrive.
