On Wednesday, the 14th of February 2017, Tofo Beach, Mozambique, took a direct hit from Tropical Cyclone Dineo. The cyclone had sustained winds over 100 km per hour, and wind gusts over 150 km per hour.
Thousands of homes were destroyed and coastal communities were most effected. This fund is set up specifically to aid the local community of Tofo Beach and will work directly with a locally organized committee to ensure full transparency in allocation, dispersement, documentation and accounting of donated funds.
