A Diverse Artist's Collective Needs your HELP

A vibrant and diverse art community in rural Humboldt County is at risk since the COVID-19 pandemic. The Redwood Raks Collective (EIN# 84-3608325) is a non-profit organization which manages the The Redwood Raks Dance Studio in Arcata, CA. All people are welcome into this space to learn dances from around the world, enjoy events, take workshops and participate in creative kids' camps during school breaks.
This is a long running, social network of talented teachers and students all contributing to the healthy and robust community in Arcata. But now, like so many, we've had to close our doors! Without any classes or events, there is no more income to pay our bills. Without income, our beloved studio will not be viable once we can emerge from the most restrictive tier measures are lifted.
We need your help to keep Redwood Raks alive during this difficult time while this wonderful space cannot be used for the many classes and events which support it! We need to raise $8000 ($5000 from March-September 2020 and $3000 extra since our most recent closure due to the purple tier widespread covid-19 risk)to cover studio rent, utilities, and related expenses for the next unknown amount of time while classes are not meeting. This money is essential to keeping the Redwood Raks stable and running so we can connect again in the future!
It is important to ACT NOW. Your timely contributions will mean the world to a community of people who depend on this studio for social, athletic and artistic outlets. 100% of the money goes to the Redwood Raks Collective, a non-profit organization.
Also, please share this message via social media and email to anyone who might be willing to help.
Help keep the arts alive - another essential part of our health and the wellbeing of our community! Thank you so much, from the bottom of our hearts.
