Diverse Books Teach Tolerance

Diverse Books Teach Tolerance hopes to increase understanding through literature. This program uses the Scarsdale library kiosks to distribute books written by diverse authors or about the experiences of diverse groups such as the Black, Latino, Asian, Indigenous, Muslim, and LGBTQ+ communities. Each month will feature a new selection of books for children, teens, and adult readers to allow members of our community to gain a greater understanding of our differences. We hope the readers of these books will be exposed to unique insights and perspectives they would not normally encounter in their daily lives.
