DixCove Hospital, Ghana Birthing Chair

I have just returned from a volunteer program in Ghana where I was involved in both childcare and as a medical volunteer. As most of you will know from the pictures I have posted on fb the way that they run the hospital  and particularly the maternity unit with no resources at all is really amazing. I got to work alongside the local medical professionals to gain some invaluable experience that allowed us to see firsthand the healthcare system in a developing country. I was very fortunate that I was able to buy a theatre bed for the hospital before I left. Since I have returned back to the UK  I feel that I would like to contribute more and with your help I would like to be able to replace one of the chairs that is used in the labour ward. The people in Ghana are so friendly and welcoming and they really made our stay the most amazing experience for us.

I also wanted to let you know that I have got direct access to pay the suppliers so this money will not go through a charity and it will not go through the hospital it will go direct from me to the suppliers.
