Dixie Fire Relief, Two Fires, Two Years In A Row

Hello my name is Jennifer. I am fundraising for my parents, Dan and Joan Carter . Last year they lost their home in the Bear Fire. They purchased property in Greenville hoping to start over. They fell in love with the place and the area almost immediately. After lots of of struggling with the permits, previous fire insurance and stuff they finally had started to rebuild their lives and a new home. Then disaster struck again. The Dixie fire took everything they had worked so hard to rebuild. They had saved a small truck load of sentimental items from the Bear Fire and were storing them in Crescent Mills at a storage facility. Along with the salvaged memories their new fishing boat and the lumber to build the house were also being stored there. We now feel these thing are to be lost to the fire too. Loosing a home once is enough but twice! Saving photos and memories from one fire only to loose it in another a year later. We pray the firefighters can save Crescent Mills so they at least have something left of their lives, but we will not know until this fire is out.

They are lost right now and need all the help they can get to be stable thought the winter. They were staying in their 5th wheel on their property in Greenville. Now they are in an RV park but need to winterize the 5th wheel to be able to stay safe and warm. They are also incurring lots of unexpected expenses too. They were not planning on staying in it another season outside of their property. The house was supposed to be finished by Christmas. Now that dream is shattered. Please any and all help is greatly appreciated.
