Dixon Community Fire Department Annual Fundraiser

Dixon Community Fire Department is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the community service projects and continuing education needs of the 20 EMTs and Firefighters of Dixon VFD/EMS. All of our volunteers are local people, none of whom are paid for their time and effort on your behalf. We respond to 150 9-1-1 medical calls and 30 fire calls each year, all hours of every night and day. We have saved lives, provided comfort to people in distress, managed motor vehicle accidents and rock slides on NM68, coordinated river rescues, and kept small fires from becoming large fires - protecting people and property. Our volunteers need continuing education opportunities to maintain competence and to expand their skills. In addition to our training programs, we hold the Aaron Griego Summer Youth Cadet Program every summer to teach fire prevention and first aid skills to area young people.
