Dixon Community Fire Department Year-End Campaign
Tax deductible
If you are considering an end-of-year tax-deductible contribution that will make an impact in your own community, please consider a donation to the Dixon Volunteer Fire Department. Dixon VFD/EMS is 100 percent staffed by volunteers who contribute many hours of time 24/7 to respond to calls, train and provide maintenance to our apparatus. We are always there for you to respond to 9-1-1 emergency calls - fires, automobile accidents and emergency medical issues. Help support our Volunteers as they work year-round to provide you with timely and compassionate responses to your calls for assistance. We respond to more than 150 Emergency 9-1-1 calls every year, including over 120 medical emergencies. Dixon VFD held our First Annual Aaron Griego Summer Youth Cadet Program this summer, hosting sixteen young people from this community who learned about fire prevention, firefighting, water safety and CPR/First Aid. We are currently teaching an EMT-First Responder Course with 22 students to expand the availability of licensed EMTs in the area.
