Hello, I'm Mia, the youngest in a family of four, reaching out to you in a time of immense struggle. On January 28, 2024, our home was engulfed in flames, leaving us with nothing but ashes. My mother and brother narrowly escaped, but sadly, our beloved dog, Pluto, did not.

My brothers, one a dedicated grade school teacher engaged in cancer research during summers, the other a hardworking truck driver, are facing challenges. My mother, a resilient home health aide, is working tirelessly but is having a difficult time adapting to the loss of our home. As a software engineering professional, I'm struggling to secure employment. Adding to our difficulties, unclear communication from the insurance company has left us questioning the validity of our coverage, making stable housing an elusive goal.
