HELP Romeo Cologne and his Rescue Dogs Find a Home!

My name is David Pierce. I'm from the Atlanta area and most people know me as DJ Romeo Cologne. I'm a retired Air Force Veteran, UGA grad, and Disco aficionado. One of my passions is sharing my love for Disco and Funk music for over 30 years. I've had a very successful life filling clubs such as the Star Bar and The Clermont Lounge with joyful dancers. I've been featured on Fox 5 Atlanta and in the Atlanta Journal.

My other passion is rescuing street dogs (hundreds) and getting dogs off chains (35) by donating kennels and building fences to keep them safe. Ive primarily done this with my own money and help from some private donors.

Both these passions have been extremely fulfilling and I'm grateful to be of service to our community.

My health has been a problem and I have had a series of setbacks from heart attacks, seizures, malignant tumor in my throat, persistent vomiting, resulting in constant pain and debilitating weakness. Im fortunate to be on Medicare and my benefits have covered most all costs. But losing work from being too sick, the lengthy pandemic lockdowns devastated my club activities and Ive struggled to maintain them. Donors to my rescue work dried up and the combination of the loss of income and my medical issues have nearly crushed me.

I had rented a small home in the country but because of damage from a storm, I was forced to move. I cannot afford to find temporary boarding for my dogs, an affordable home, a moving company to box and store my belongings, and an extended stay motel costs while I look for a place to live and recover from my medical treatments. I NEED YOUR HELP!

This funding campaign is to cover all these costs so my crisis doesnt turn into a failure.
