April Kirkland attended Cottonwood High School in Cottonwood, Alabama.
April died from injuries from a car accident on May 14, 1997, she was 16 years old. April excelled in all of her studies and loved her school. She had dreams of being an attorney one day.
When we lost April I knew I wanted to do something to help her fellow students at Cottonwood High School so I established the April Lynn Kirkland Memorial Scholarship in 1998. I raise money each year, the school staff picks a recipent, and I write a check to the school of their choice from the money that is raised. Please help keep April's memory alive while helping a student attend college. Our kids need all the help we can give them to help them further their education. Thank you all so very much...
