Robert Earl Davis, Jr. (July 20, 1971 – November 16, 2000), better known by his stage name DJ Screw, was an American hip hop DJ who was based in Houston, Texas. He was known as a central figure in the Houston hip hop community and was the creator of the now-famous chopped and screwed DJ technique.
He was more than just an innovater of Screwed Music, he was kindhearted, a community leader, and always remained humble. He 's been a considerable influence in Hip-Hop, and households world-wide.
DJ Screw has been gone for 15 years now and his grave is in need of restoration. Over time mother nature has taken its course, and has caused significant wear and tear. In honor of Dj Screw and his Legacy, we want to create a memorial at his grave site. (Cunnigham Cemetery)
This is a time where we can all come together and do something great, for someone who has done great things for our music, culture and the South! Thanks (Dj Screw's Family, Sister Michelle Wheeler, Screwville Series
