Herts & Essex Sports Centre - 'Netball Needs You'

We are constantly looking to improve our facilities here at The Herts & Essex Sports Centre.

After a successful fundraiser in 2019, called 'the Final Hurdle' which helped us to buy a range of different sports equipment in time for the opening of our centre, we are once again asking for your help to keep it looking brand new. We are therefore launching our new campaign 'Netball Needs You'.

Netball is a hugely popular sport at The Herts & Essex Sports Centre and we are so proud of the fact that our six macadam courts are always in use. We are proud to be home to three wonderful local netball clubs for training and matches on a weekly basis: Bishop's Stortford Netball Club, Swans Netball Club and Crosskeys Netball Club. We are also proud to host The Bishop's Stortford Netball League, attracting hundreds of girls and women from across Hertfordshire and Essex to play.

Our facility, opening in 2019 boasts a large sense of community and is a not for profit organisation. Over time, things need replacing and we want to provide the users with the best service and equipment possible. our mission statement is “Serving our local community in sport, leisure and recreation by providing affordable high quality facilities in a welcoming, friendly and safe environment. “

Our Priorities which we can achieve through offering netball to all are:

1. Improve levels of physical activity

2. Focus on mental health and wellbeing

3. Raise Aspirations

4. Develop life and employability skills

To do this, we are asking for your support so that we can do re-paint the court lines and purchase some new equipment for the courts.
