In the early morning hours of October 12, 2018 Thomas "Tommy" Michael Hagan was struck by a car while biking home from his job near Alternate Hwy 90 and Beicker Road in Seguin, Texas. Authorities were called at 1:45am when a passerby noticed bike parts strewn about the highway. It is believed that a car hit Thomas from behind and fled the scene without calling for help.  While I can spend most of my time talking about the anger and pain we feel, I want to take this opportunity to remember this blessed 19 year old who was trying to make his way in the world. Thomas was an incredibly intelligent, kind hearted, and loving person. He deeply cared for his many family members left behind which included his parents, grandparents, multiple siblings, nieces and nephews, plus many distant family members. Everyone close to him knows he would have done something great with his life if he had only had the time to figure it out. At this time the family is faced with the unthinkable task of having to bury their son and brother. As Thomas' aunt I am speaking on their behalf to help them work through their grief and assist in the cost of covering this tragic, unexpected event. The funds raised will be used to offer Thomas a proper memorial as the family works out the specifics of how they want to celebrate his life. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. All funds will go directly to Michael and Cynthia Hagan who are in charge of his funeral and memorial. We are also hunting for more information on who was behind the wheel that night that altered our lives forever. If you have any information, please contact the Seguin Highway Patrol or Seguin Police Department no matter how insignificant the information may seem.
