Jakes Journey
Donation protected
Hello family and friends...On Thursday, April 18, 2019, Jake was on shift at fire training. While participating in a ladder drill Jake fell 30 feet to a concrete landing. Jake suffered traumatic injuries to both arms and left hip. Jake was immediately tended to by Cherry Valley fire personnel. Jake was transported to OSF medical center treated in the ER and taken to surgery. Jake was then admitted to ICU. On Friday, Jake was seen by several specialists. I spoke with him in regards to transferring to UW-Madison hospital for further care. On Saturday, April 20, Jake was transferred by ambulance to UW. On Easter Sunday, Jake had surgery on his right elbow without complications. On Monday April 21, 2019 Jake rested for the entire day with his family by his side in his hospital room. On Tuesday April 23, 2019 Jake was taken to surgery at 10am. Surgery is being performed on his left elbow and left hip. Surgery is approximately 6 hrs. As of this posting, Jake is still in surgery. My children and I, along with Jake’s family, are here waiting for follow up on surgery. Please help raise money for the Nihells family as right now they are in WIS at dads beside and Megan isn't working. They have a long road ahead of them. Your Donation is greatly appreciated.
