A Miracle for Mary

Our daughter, Mary and her family have a challenging road ahead as her cancer has come back. We are asking for prayers and support. She has been battling cancer for the past three years and was able to keep the Metastatic Melanoma Stage IV cancer in check until recently. We had to go to the ER on Friday, July 6th due to chest pain and difficulty breathing. After a week in the hospital, a multitude of tests, scans, and X-rays, the team of doctors found she had a partially collapsed lung and a distressed heart. After taking a biopsy and draining 700 mils from the fluid surrounding her lung, it was discovered that there were active cancer cells within this area. After discussing multiple options including surgery, it was determined that at this time our best course of action would be to enter a clinical study at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Care (MSKCC) in New York. Soon, we will be traveling to New York for a consultation. At this consultation, we will learn more about the study and what it will entail. We will then return to St. Louis until the clinical trial begins. At this time, we do not know the length of the study or when it will begin. The funds requested will help pay for medical and travel expenses to support Mary and her family. PRAYERS and any support you can provide are greatly appreciated.
