Getting my kids back

My name is Erin and I am trying to get enough money to move out to Tennessee where my kids are so I can get them back. My ex and I have joint custody, but he has residential custody (they live with him) and has been accused of some very serious allegations against our youngest. I have put off moving out there in hopes that the trial would be speedy and my children would move back with me because I have a life here in Lawrence, but my attorney told me yesterday that if I was out in Tennessee I would have a MUCH better chance of getting them instead of the step mother trying to get them (even though she actually has no rights she will still try). I'm sorry I cannot go into detail but we are not allowed to at this time.
I know times are tough for us all and it is only as a last resort that I am doing this. Any help would be a blessing as I only have a few weeks to make this happen (need to be there by May 23, 2016).
