Derek Mauk Memorial

Derek Ray Mauk, a bright and dynamic light, passed away at the age of 36. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Derek had a passion for gardening, and his family feels that the best way to honor this legacy is to spread joy throughout his community by beautifying it. To that end, his wife, Anne-Catherine, will be distributing more than 50,000 daffodil bulbs this autumn to members of the community interested in honoring Derek to plant in their own yards, businesses, schools, or community centers. The daffodils will spread joy as the first harbingers of Spring and come back year after year as living reminders of Derek’s vibrant spirit.
