DMI Therapy Intensive for Ryder Lewis

A message from Ryder's parents(Kyle Lewis & Izzy Spaan):
In the last year, our two-year-old son Ryder has officially received diagnoses of Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy(HIE), Cerebral Palsy & Epilepsy related to his traumatic brain injury at birth.
The first 5 years of Ryder’s life are critical in creating new pathways in his brain & increasing all of his abilities - therapy is key for this. Ryder's future is filled with possibilities so we are committed to maximizing every ability our miracle son has & celebrating his accomplishments every chance we get! Ryder’s(& Izzy's) weeks are spent in various appointments with intellectual therapists, hearing therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and chiropractors, etc. Thanks to generous funds previously raised, Ryder got to participate in his first DMI therapy intensive in September of 2022 & we're excited by the improvement we saw in Ryder's muscle tone & movement.
Ryder is enrolled in a second DMI Intensive for this summer (June 2023), this time for 2 weeks in southern California. Unfortunately, insurance doesn't cover the cost of any of these very beneficial therapies, so we are paying out of pocket for the treatment as well as travel and lodging expenses for the program because we want Ryder to have access to this therapy. As the date approaches, we greatly appreciate any assistance with these expenses. Any leftover funds will be used towards future programs and needs for Ryder.
Love,
Ryder & Family
