Help our brother with medical expenses

Hi, our names are Pam & Sue. We’re reaching out on behalf of our brother, Alan, who has always been a pillar of strength for our family and a hardworking, kindhearted individual. Unfortunately, his health took an unexpected turn when he recently underwent major emergency surgery and multiple procedures which led to being hospitalized for over 6 weeks due to many complications. This challenging experience has been life changing for him. Unfortunately, he has been unable to return to work, and early retirement may become a reality due to his ongoing health condition. He is currently on short term disability which drastically reduced his pay.

His wife, Michelle has been his dedicated sole caregiver. She is self-employed and has also suffered from a drastic reduction in her income as she supports his care full-time. Consequently, their entire household has taken a very big hit financially as they have both been forced out of work for an indefinite amount of time. This has placed an immense burden of stress on a man who has always been the main breadwinner and provider for his family.

Alan is an incredible person that is always there to help anyone and everyone in their time of need. He has the rarest type of kindness and would literally give the shirt off his back and go out of his way to help any stranger. Many of you love him as much as we do and have asked how you can help. The stress of the financial burden of all of this has been truly overwhelming along with having to worry about how basic expenses will be covered right now in addition to the mounting medical expenses, ongoing care and therapy that is still required for months (and will ultimately require additional surgery at some point in the future.)

As a family, we have exhausted our resources and are reaching out to our community and beyond to seek support during this challenging time. Your generosity not only supports a good cause but will make a world of difference in alleviating their financial stress. Alan and Michelle are strong, compassionate individuals who have always lent a helping hand to others. Now, it is our turn to rally together and support them.
