Brody Bear has a rare genetic syndrome. Since he was 4 months old he's had well over 50 surgeries on his skull, and face to better the quality of his life. He has a VP shunt placed in his skull to drain his cerebral spinal fluid. Then four revision because it had problems. The shunt is perminate. He had a tracheostomy at 3 years old because he was breathing like an 80 year old heavy set man. He's lived with the trach ever since. Part of Brody Bear's Crouzon syndrome is jaw realignment and maintenance while his jaw bones shift then set. He has to see an Orthodontist that specializes in his condition, and because his syndrome is rare not all procedures are covered, like the jaw devices and procedures Bear needs. Through the next handful of years he will have to wear devices while he sleeps, jaw surgeries and more to insure his jaw is realigned properly as he continues to grow. This is also extremely important for his airways & breathing as well. Please help us raise the money he needs to get the best medical care available. We appreciate anything & thank you for all your love & support!
