Help Tedd Get on the Move Again

Donation protected
Family, Friends and Colleagues in the acting community and beyond,

On October 15, my dear brother, Tedd Dillon suffered three fractures to his pelvis when he was knocked off his bike by an unleashed dog while cycling on the Martin Goodman Trail. He has developed two blood clots in his lungs, some heart issues and is on oxygen due to breathing difficulties.

At 69, the injuries as a result of this accident have been devastating to his livelihood as an accomplished actor and general contractor. The next six months are critical to his recovery and there will be associated recovery and rehabilitation costs not covered by OHIP. As a self-employed senior living alone, he will be unable to work during this time and will have no means of support.

His recovery in the short term will include up to 4 weeks in the hospital until his fractures heal and oxygen levels stabilize, followed by a period of time in a rehabilitation hospital building strength and regaining mobility.

Tedd may never be able to work as a general contractor again, limiting his income potentially forever. He was also looking forward to getting back to some normal activities: cycling, fishing, skiing, his beloved choir, meeting and seeing friends, fitting this all in around his busy acting and contract work schedule. This has all been put on hold while he faces the long road to recovery. Despite this setback, Tedd remains optimistic and is focused on his healing and recovery so he can once again be a positive force in his community.

Donations of any amount are much appreciated and will help Tedd cover the unforeseen costs related to these injuries, his recovery and loss of income. We appreciate you taking the time to read Tedd’s story and will provide updates as his condition hopefully improves.

A police investigation is underway to identify the dog’s owners who left the scene. A few articles have been shared by local media about the accident:
