‘DO Beauty Boutique Break-In & Covid Help
Donation protected
After having spent years building my clientele and saving money to start my own business, Do Beauty Boutique was forced to temporarily close in early March due to mandates imposed as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic.
Since this time, we have struggled to pay rent in addition to other overhead costs to keep the business afloat.
On June 1, 2020 we were able to reopen with modifications after spending thousands of dollars on measures which kept our clients safe. Although we were happy to reopen, these new modifications increased our expenses and greatly reduced the income we were seeing.
We were still bleeding money and, after being open for just over 7 weeks, the governor shut us down again.
Our financial reserves were completely exhausted by the safety modifications, so this dealt an extremely devastating blow.
When I feared the situation could not get any worse, disaster struck. Two men broke through our locked storefront and into our business. They inflicted thousands of dollars in physical damage to the building entrance as well as my salon stations as they stole beauty supplies and cases of retail products I had stocked in anticipation of the holiday rush just prior to the closure.
We feel we have been kicked while we are down and are now asking for help from the community to keep our business afloat until we are told it is safe to reopen. The pandemic has undone years of hard work and led us to financial ruin. I built this business to support my 3 young girls and now we will have no choice but to close permanently unless we receive your help.
