Do Glad for Lily Lutz

Lily Lutz, a charismatic, dancing, swimming, climbing, rock- jumping nine-year-old, will be undergoing surgery next month at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for a brain tumor in her left temporal lobe.
Doctors and her family have been monitoring the tumor for many years, with hopes that it would remain benign, however mutiple MRI's over the last several months have confirmed growth in the tumor leaving the family with no choice but to take medical action. Other symptoms have also begun to reveal themselves. The position and placement of the tumor poses a risk to Lily's vision and speech. Any further growth could threaten her central nervous system.

Help us help the Lutz family. There are going to be many medical costs and expenditures associated with the surgery not covered by insurance. Time off work and travel expenses will add up quickly. Time will tell if chemotherapy and other follow-up treatments are required.
