Do It for Diana!

#wombmates: a special person you shared a womb with simultaneously that now, due to the laws of nature, must be your best friend for life. There is no escape, so do not bother trying.

I have known Diana since before I was even born; before I entered the world. We've always been really close and there are things she does and things I do that we don't even realize show just how alike we are. Even our voices are so similar that people are always amazed at how much we sound like the other. We are true soul sisters, wombmates and best friends.

Diana has been having issues since last summer, without realizing the extent of what was wrong. In December, she fell in a ditch while looking at her mail (she's all grace and sunshine!). Bob, her husband, took her to the doctor and the doctor felt something was off. They did bloodwork to try and figure out what was going on. In a lot of ways, we are really lucky she did fall, because when doing the bloodwork, they found she had cancer. And neither my life nor hers has been the same since that day. Everything has changed.

Here is Diana's story in her own words: Not feeling well just before Christmas was not what I wanted. One evening after not feeling well I ended up in the emergency room where they found a mass between my pancreas and liver. I was immediately taken to Wesley in Wichita to have an endoscopy. They told me it was possible I had pancreatic cancer. I went to Columbia, Missouri, where I have family, for more tests, and they confirmed it was pancreatic cancer. I started chemo.

After many weeks of chemo, I was scheduled to have a Whipple done on April 12, 2022. I am sad to say they were not able to complete the surgery as the cancer has spread to my liver. I am not giving up, though. I am going to fight this with whatever time I have left.

I wanted to create this GoFundMe to support DIana as she goes through this journey. The costs of medical bills and travel to appointments is exorbitant, and I want to do whatever I can for my wombmate to help her during this time. Any amount donated is greatly appreciated.
