Help Me Produce a Companion Study Guide for My Movie on Peacemaking.

It's been about 3 years since the crazy idea to make a movie about peacemaking in Israel/Palestine was hatched. So much has happened and so many wonderful stories have been told, connections made, and a growing commitment to peacemaking in audiences who've watched my movie. I am so grateful to each person who supported our project, believing we had something to say.

I've now screened the movie about a dozen times from Chicago to Seattle. Canada too. We had around 175 show up for my premier at Quest, my home church in Seattle, and its been covered by local radio and newspapers (see this link for stories: http://worldlyholiness.com/peacemaking/movie/).

As I read how this movie impacted people in our premier I feel stirred to take another step to help people understand this tragic conflict and subsequently--how to make a difference. Much of the noise around this conflict has a way of paralyzing efforts to find a solution. I think that is perhaps the biggest danger. We need to have better answers and we need to respond.

And this brings me to my next step. And maybe yours. Would you consider joining me in our next step? I'd like to produce a 6 part series (with video, discussion guide questions on the 6 parts, time line of the conflict, a facts sheet, ways to respond, + other resources). I also plan to share my own journey in peacemaking in Israel/Palestine. Going into this conflict, I found my own theological and ethical framework lacking so I've had to do some hard work, with my Bible open, to find a better foundation. I’d also like to answer the question raised in the movie, “why do I keep going back?” And lastly, what can viewers like you do to make a difference.

As a thank-you for helping, I’d like to give you a gift. Check out the award levels and make a contribution please. Hint--my next year’s 2018 Worldly Holiness Calendar is one of the awards.

Seeking to be a peacemaker, not just a peace talker.
