My name is Kathy and I’m creating this GoFundMe account on behalf of my family back at home on Maui. On August 8, 2023 my family’s world turned upside down. They lost their home and business due to the horrific wildfire, in just one night in Lahaina, Maui. If you ever shopped around Front St. and walked into Lahaina Jewelry, you would’ve seen my mom’s radiant smile. Mom had her business for over 30 years and her favorite part of the job was meeting all the wonderful customers. My family are currently safe but they lost everything. I’m hoping and praying if you can find it in your heart to donate any amount to help my family get back on their feet and if you’re unable to donate, all I ask for is to pray for everyone on Maui and their Ohana. UPDATE from Tina: thank you so much to everyone who has donated to my parents who has lost everything. We went to see their home and store and it was devastating. Mom had both home and store for over 30 years. Our hometown is completely leveled. My heart is shattered. This will take years of recovery. We appreciate everyone who has prayed for us.
