Dock Lunch Closure Relocate and Rebuild
Donation protected
Dock Lunch was my home long before it was my cafe. My life, livelihood and where people have always come to find me. I've known for some time that my landlords intended to renovate the Dock space this year and that I would vacate temporarily and return. I planned accordingly only to be informed last minute that food service will not be possible inside the upcoming space due to logistics. My plan to "hold" became a directive to "fold" overnight. Without a chance to salvage assets, sweat equity and most distressing of all; no chance to say goodbye. This was not the finale I wanted for Dock, but I'm excited to see what I can make of a hand that's forced. Like cooking with surprise ingredients, no recipes or menu plan. The outpouring of support and the clear love for Dock is inspiring me to rebuild and invite you back. Thank you to all Dock customers near and far for your flexibility, your patience, your joy, your inspiration, your support and most of all your beautiful weirdness. See you on the flip side.
