Dock Repair for Mariposa Hunters Point Yacht Club

Our dock was severely damaged in Winter storms in 2019 causing collapsed sections and parts torn away by pieces from the disintegrating pier next to the Bayview Boat Club. Unfortunately, the remaining portions of piles and dock are being further damaged in the severe weather of last Fall and this Winter. We must make necessary repairs as soon as possible to prevent further degradation and to maintain a proper level of general safety.

We did a lot of replacement and repairs over the last few years and are ready to install the docks but now we need to raise money to get the permits, buy the piles, drive in the piles and put in the new and repaired dock pieces to finish the job.

The dock is not only used by our members but is vital to Mariposa Hunters Point Yacht Club's (MHPYC) community service programs such as the Youth Sailing Program, Women on the Water program, Fleet Week accessibility, and cruise-ins from other yacht clubs and sailors. Our dock and boat ramp are used by the US Navy and Coast Guard in support of Fleet Week activities for several years as well as being used as an emergency commuter ferry landing and tourist boat access to get on the Bay.

To complete the repair of our dock (transporting replacement sections, drilling replacement piles in the Bay, and attaching the dock), we need to raise $40,000.00 by May 30, 2023.
