DOCTORS to NEPAL
Donation protected
These hometown heroes left for Nepal on Wednesday April 28.. They travel with a team of Doctors bringing medical supplies, water-purification systems, solar charging systems & lighting and their physical training and skills to help the victims of the NEPAL earthquake.
They will pay all their own expenses including transportation, food, water and medical supplies.
Check out Hometown Heroes FB page for update.
They need our HELP.
The death toll on the day they left was over 4500 and they expect many more from Mt Everest and the rural regions, where few are able to go. Lance, Ely and Jesse Taysom (father & sons) and the group they travel with are capable of reaching the rural areas.. because, beyond medical skills, search & rescue and winter survival; HELPING OTHERS is what they do BEST.
Lance is a registered nurse who teaches Medical Rescue courses, wilderness survival and emergency leadership.
Ely is an EMT with ER training and experience doing Master's degree work at ISU in the field of Forensics.
Jesse (trained EMT) is 20 and returned only 2 weeks ago from a 2 year mission serving the people of Peru.
The Pocatello team has personal connections at ground zero, outside Katmandu. 14 Napalese students from ISU are coordinating communication with their families in Nepal.
This relief effort is not without danger and risk. Lance, Jesse and Ely will work beside Doctors for 2 weeks in tents under harsh conditions in one of the worst disaster areas known.
Beyond financial aid we humbly seek prayers for the people of NEPAL who suffer from the devastation. And prayers also for Lance, Jesse, Ely and the entire medical team until they return to their families.
Your help .. will defer the personal costs for these men and help them to bring medical supplies, aid and comfort to people who are in serious need.
Thank you in advance for helping bring AID where it's needed. They will be able to go where few others are able.
