Dodge County Flag Football State Rings
Donation protected
We are trying to raise the funds to buy our very own Indians Flag Football Team their State Championship rings. We have already had so much support from our local community but are falling short of the amount needed. Below is a quick documentation of what has taken place over the last few months.
The girls worked hard through the summer and fall to go undefeated in the regular season. They placed 1st in their area and that allowed them to host the first play-off games at home. When they won those 2 games, it again allowed them to host the next game at home. After that, they got to play at the Home Depot Backyard right beside the Mercedes Benz Stadium. I wish everyone could have seen the excitement and tears of not only the players but the coaches and parents when they won that game. That moved them on to the final game.
The final game was played at Center Parc Credit Union Stadium. Many of us know this place well and still think of it as Turner Field, home of the Braves. As a parent watching that game, I couldn't even sit down most of the game. It was exciting to watch and neither team ever gave up. Finally in the 3rd over-time, we scored a touch down that would win them state and the recognition they deserved for all the hard work and long hours they have put into this season. I can still see the excitement of the girls and coaches when they realized that they had won the game.
