“Every child has a story; they just need someone to listen”
Have you ever taken a moment to reflect on the people in your life that were most influential to your own personal, professional, and spiritual growth?
Most of us can recall at least one person that made such a profound impact on us that we cannot imagine how our lives would have been without them. Sadly, many children are in desperate need of a difference-maker in their lives. Someone to inspire them, cultivate their talents, push them to be the best they can, and extend a friendly hand when they are in need.
This is why Waynesburg University students enrolled in Dr. Alexander Regina’s Integrated Marketing class are partnering with the Best of the Batch Foundation to raise money for area youth in need of education, mentorship, and safe spaces to grow in their community. The charity campaign will end with an exciting dodgeball tournament on campus in April.
A little about the Best of the Batch:
The Best of the Batch Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 1999 by former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch. The Best of the Batch Foundation provides year-round educational programming to more than 3,800 children ranging in ages from 4 to 18, across 22 school districts in eight western Pennsylvania counties.
The goal is to help youths maximize their success and outcomes by providing immediate, effective, and sustainable support to the students to unlock and utilize their strengths. We want to provide resources along with a place to go, an ear to listen, and the guidance that allows the youths to see and work towards the greater potential in themselves.

Your donation to this event will help the children to:
• Invest in their future and unlock their full potential
• Empower them to achieve their dreams and inspire them through mentorship
• Connect them to their community in meaningful and supportive ways
• Promote the growth of our future community
As students of Waynesburg University, we strive to serve our mission of Faith, Service, and Learning through organizing this event to help provide better resources to help these children grow and reach their full potential to enjoy bright futures. In doing so, we will learn how to plan events and work together to engage our community with the power of service and charity alongside the assistance of companies and organizations. This is why we need your help in partnering with us to make a difference for the children of the Batch Foundation!
Please consider becoming a partner in our mission and donating to benefit these wonderful children and help us invest in our collective future.
