Dog Bite 6 year old in the face at Piedmont Park

On the late afternoon of Sunday, February 28, 2021, my family and I decided to venture to Piedmont Park for a little bit of sunshine & fresh air. Not knowing that our lives was about to be altered/changed in the blink of an eye. While my daughter and I was sitting on the lawn enjoying the view, my son Eric (Jr age 6 years old) and my cousin (30 years old) was tossing the ball back and forth. The Park was enjoyed by many different visitors (adults, children, & pets)... After being in the park for about an hour, things immediately turned for the worst. A German Shepherd (not on a leash) Attacked my son (Jr.). Yanking, Bitting, & Dragging his little body by his face. Finally the dog released my baby with extreme force and great effort from the owner, cousin, and other strangers in the park. He was rushed to Scottish Rite Hospital. Were the doctors performed Plastic Surgery and re-attaching his lips. He is now traumatized, scared to fall asleep, a fear of being alone, and still experiencing extreme pain on the left side of his face (from his forehead to the bottom of his chin). We are seeking an attorney, counseling, and complete participation from the animal control. With all this being said we would appreciate any support, prayers,and financial help that you are able to provide. The family is very thankful for everything Eric ( jr) recieves so we can fight his battle in court and receive justice.
