Dog brutally beaten & shot in the face needs help

Donation protected
This dog walked into the house we are remodeling in Joshua Tree, looking for help and safety. He then climbed into my truck with me; he was stunned and bleeding—his face torn up and raw.

I was shocked and distressed—almost immobilized. I didn’t know what to do. This being Sunday, the Joshua Tree shelter was closed. So were all the vets in town. I didn’t have the thousands of dollars I knew it would cost to take care of this sweet dog. I wasn’t sure about handling the injured dog. So I called Animal Authority Rescue Team, a one-woman operation in the hi-desert of Southern California. Without hesitation, Kristal knew what Champion needed and got him to an emergency vet in Redlands, an hour away on a Sunday. No hesitation about inconvenience or cost. The initial vet bill of $800 is on her personal credit card.

Kristal named him Champion because he is fighting like a champion to get well.

Please consider donating to Champion and this remarkable young woman—Animal Authority Rescue Team. She is filling a gaping need and doing an amazing job.

Champion was shot in the face and beaten. In surgery for 5 hours, he is now at the animal hospital in stable condition.
